The 3rd Annual Roar for a Cure Carnival will be held August 20th at the East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club, in East Hampton, New York. With two successful years behind us, celebrity guests, bands and professional athletes are agreeing to attend and we anticipate an even bigger and better event than in years past. This year’s event will be “A Roar for Katy,” in memory of twelve year old Katy Stewart, a resident of Sag Harbor, who lost her battle to cancer on December 30, 2010.

The outdoor event, presented by Town Residential, will have exciting activities for adults and children of all ages,
including games, inflatables, a giant slide, miniature golf, free prize give-aways, tattoo and balloon artists, onsite presence by Everloop.com, the safe social site for kids and tweens, unlimited gourmet food and beverages, complimentary gift bags, raffles, auctions, and a live performance by Warner Brothers recording artist Helena and Little Maestros who were named the best music class by Nickelodeon's Parents' Pick Awards. Also, Big City Moms will be sponsoring Lily's Lane,  a tent filled with fun activities ranging from Arts & Crafts to hair braiding.

New this year is Jesse Shapiro’s Fastbreak Kids basketball clinic, an adventure obstacle course by Romaine and her team of B-East Fitness, a hands-on nature tent sponsored by South Fork Natural History Museum, (SOFO), a relaxation tent for weary parents, sponsored by Naturopathica Spa, a fresh juice bar provided by IZO Cleanze, a sundae bar compliments of Ben and Jerry's and much, much more.

The first two Family Day Carnivals were incredible experiences for families and for pediatric cancer research. More than 1,000 people attended each of the Carnivals. In the first, we raised over $350,000. Last summer’s event was even more successful. We grossed over $400,000. These two successes have propelled the Foundation into a year of exciting growth and opportunity.
