Our Lives Changed Forever On May 2, 2007...
...It was the day we learned that our three year old son Max was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer. The very next day was his fourth birthday. Dinner conversations quickly changed from talking about school and after school activities to oncology and chemotherapy.

It was every parent’s worst nightmare come true. We knew that we had to address this issue immediately, and reprioritize every aspect of our lives. We also knew that while doing our best to achieve that, we needed to maintain a normal existence for Max and his younger brother Alexander, who was almost two at the time.  More>>

Change Your Perspective On Life In Less Than Eight Minutes?
There are no words to describe what Max and children like him go through when undergoing chemotherapy and other forms of treatment to battle cancer. The effect it has on the child and  family is unimaginable. Unless you have experienced it firsthand, it may be difficult to understand. To spread our message of hope, our family made a seven minute video that we'd like to share with you and your family.  Play Video>>

2009 Roar For A Cure Carnival - Success!
They closed the beaches in the Hamptons the weekend of our event because the tides were high and the ocean was roaring. However the sun was shining despite Hurricane Bill. There clearly was a stronger force present - there always is. The Roar For A Cure Carnival was meant to be. The Carnival was a huge success and the money raised was beyond our expectations. Thanks to all for your support, donations and generous contributions.

The Goal Of This Site

The goal of this site is to help families cope with the unforeseen hurdles encountered during uncertain times. Life can change in mysterious ways and present obstacles that seem impossible to overcome. While searching for answers to questions that we never thought we would ever ask, we found strength each day as we gained knowledge. It is important to remain focused, stay positive and hopeful. We, as a family, have chosen to come together and unite with others facing similar types of adversity. With collective strength, courage and tenacity, we will make Pediatric Cancer Research awareness more prominent in the main-stream media.
